The purpose of this course was to help students develop a clearer understanding of various office practices, management styles, and professional practice procedures. The content of this course elaborated on the role of beginning designers in an interior design office and the steps of the design process. Students were introduced to methods to refine their interviewing techniques and develop their skills in presenting themselves and as well as their work. Students were required to develop a branded “YouInk” project, which included a personal resume, cover letter, brochure, and portfolio to aid in future job searches.
